📍 PETRONAS TOWERS

Today was a free day as we waited for the other ECU students to arrive. We decided to go into the city centre and do the most tourist-y activity possible: the Petronas Towers.

We went through the shopping mall to head towards the main entrance. However they gave us a lovely surprise - the tickets were all sold out! Instead, we got lunch at the shopping centre and walked around for a while, which turned out to be just as amazing. We agreed that we all would’ve thrown up if we went to the top.

We then headed to the aquarium, walking through the greenest park, and a convention centre where they were holding a wedding dress exhibition.

The aquarium was so beautiful, particularly the tunnel view, where the sea creatures swam around us, along with the atmospheric sounds of children being frightened. We then went home to relax before heading to Daesin.

At Daesin, we met a variety of people including Joseph, Ben, and Sei Hon, as well as students from a university in Bangkok. We also had food which I stocked up on - including my favourite, sesame red bean balls.

It was so nice to meet everyone, especially the teachers, they seemed genuinely excited that we were all here. One teacher was shocked at Perth's dry 40-degree summers.

I am very excited to see what’s to come in the next few days!

Photos that inspire me - a restaurant that had model food, and the items I bought at the aquarium.
